The Barristers

The Barristers played at The Bell, Walthamstow on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. This band featured a singer called Johnny Cassidy who went on to become a comedian (no change there then!) and an actor. He is renowned in comedic circles as the President of the Comedian's Golf Club. He is an established performer at golf club events and as an after-dinner speaker (for more details see: johncassidy.co.uk ) Johnny worked at Holland Park Recording Studios and arranged for The Barristers to carry out some test recordings with a young Canadian Singer called Johnny Reno who recorded cover versions of Buddy Holly & the Crickets numbers - where is he now?
